wanted: your photos!

Tom Newhall is looking for your photos. Here's what he asks:

Dear 88ers,

I preparation for reunion weekend, we on the planning committee would like to put together a little slide show with images and music from our past.  As the official “slide show guy” for the big 20th reunion celebration, I am in need of some good images!  The ones that people have already sent in are great, and you will be amazed how young everyone looks!  Even if you can’t attend the festivities, we hope that you will submit some images so that you and your friends can be represented in light, if not in person.  This will take a little effort on your part, as the digital camera was yet to be invented in the late 80’s.  I realize that some of you may be digitally challenged, so here is what you will need to do.  Find your favorite photographs (yes, you will need to remove them from the old album or shoebox), dust them off, and line them up on a scanner.  If you don’t have a scanner or if you don’t even know what one is, your nearest Kinkos, Staples, or other copy center should have one, and the folks there will probably be able to do this for you.  You should be able to get 4 or five on at a time and set the scan for 200dpi.  Name the scan, save it as a .jpg and send it to me at the gmail account listed below.  This scan should fall within 5mgs in size; anything larger will get caught up in the email system, so please send one at a time if you are sending multiples.  If you are a Photoshop person, please feel free to work on your images and crop them individually, otherwise, just send me the scans with multiple images and I will do the work for you.  The important thing is to keep your emails less than 5mgs. That should do it.  The great thing about this effort now is that once we have this all put together, it should be a permanent archive of our time at Williams, we can post it online, and we can bring it out every 5 years until there’s just two of us left in diapers and wheelchairs!

Cheers!
Tom
